Why we built this

Online gift hunting breaks at the same point every time: you roughly know who it's for and roughly what you want to spend, and then you fall into a store with millions of items and no way to filter by personality or occasion. GiftGenie tries to fix exactly that part — turning what you already know about the person into a short, accurate list.

How gifts are chosen

The catalogue is built from around 50 hand-defined gift categories. For each one we pull products from the AliExpress affiliate programme by real sales volume and buyer rating. The quiz turns your answers into a profile of interest tags, a budget and a recipient, and we rank categories and products against it. A product with no image, no price, or fewer than five sales never enters the list.

What we are not

We are not a shop. We hold no stock, take no payment, ship nothing and handle no returns. Every purchase happens directly with AliExpress and is their responsibility — any question about an order, delivery or refund goes to them.

Behind the site

GiftGenie is built and maintained by Yossi Oknin, an independent developer in Israel. He also runs DailyMale, a Hebrew men's content site, linked from the men's picks section here.
